Need ideas and help please…
Have a MEP007B that will not start. With the switch in the on position I have no power to the fuel pumps or the fuel shutdown on the governor body attached to the injection pump. If I hold the manual lever on the fuel shutdown open and also pull the linkage from the governor to the injection pump, I can get the engine to start up and run. As long as I continue to hold the lever open and manipulate the linkage I can get the engine to continue running and throttle up and down. If I release either the lever or the linkage, the engine immediately shuts down.
was able to start it if I only pull the governor to injector linkage now fully to the left and then just throttle back and forth. Pumps and everything works fine until I stop messing with the linkage. anyone ever pulled one of these governor bodies apart?
