Hello, our unit may be in the market to purchase 2 MEP-809 generators. We are choosing to use these generators because of their ability to easily change voltages and paralleling capability. They would be trailer mounted and used to provide emergency power. A few of our areas are 480V and would require parallel operation. My question is what means can you recommend to parallel these units? I have found a PDC capable of paralleling, but only rated @ 120/208, found here http://www.navair.navy.mil/mobilefacilities/power.htm. Apart from having a custom box manufactured, are there any other known plug and play boxes for 480V parallel operation?
Hello. Unfortunately the MEP809 model is not our forte. I would contact the proper US Military group in charge of MEP (mobile electric power). GMG
