I am getting about 2qts of fuel dumped into the crankcase for about 10hrs of generator runtime. Does anyone know what is the most probable reason for it? My guess is leak on the backside of the injection pump. Genset is otherwise running fine, clean exhaust. If leak on the IP backside, what parts do I need to fix it?
I would agree. That amount would likely come from the injection pump. That would be a big deal break or a crack in the pump. 2nd choice would be faulty injectors dribbling fuel into cylinder. Both need to be checked.
