I have a military 45KW Diesel Generator but I cannot find any information on it. I was told it was used in the Vietnam war so I’m guessing it was built in the 60’s. It was built by Sun Electric Corp, Crystal Lake IL. I can fire it up but I have to hold the throttle, I’m guessing the speed control board is bad. I was told the unit adjusts speed based on demand. Here is what I know, any help would be appreciated:
45KW 2 stroke diesel, skid mounted
60Hz, 3 Phase, .8 power factor
208/416 Voltage line to line
Cont. No. MOOO27-67-COO80
Serial No 68-180, Model No. PU-703/G
FSN 6615-472-5522, MGF Part No. C-543-1000
