When I start my generator the over voltage light comes on and shuts down the generator. I tested the voltage regulator as per the manual. I performed steps h,j, and i. My tests fell within the parameters specified in the manual. My question is does the manual really mean what is stated. Here is what the manual states: “If steps h, j, and I are as indicated above, AC voltage regulator is defective and must be replaced.” Does this really mean, it my tests fell within the parameters specified the voltage regualtor must be replaced?
