MEP002A-MEP003A New Governor Control Cable Throttle Cable

MEP002A-MEP003A Governor Control Cable (Throttle Cable).  This is a new aftermarket replacement throttle cable (Governor Control Cable) for MEP002A and MEP003A units.  This is a heavy-duty cable that is protected by a complete cable covering to protect it from rain, snow, ice, oil, diesel fuel and other corrosive material.  This includes the cable and the vernier cable lock head.  Also note that you must cut this cable to fit a MEP003A or MEP002A unit (shorter for the MEP002A).  One common reason that these cables break, especially on MEP002A units, is that the milspec standard calls for the same length cable on both size generators.  This makes the cable extra long (too long in our opinion) for the MEP002A which causes the cable to have undue friction leading to breakage. Lack of use and general corrosion is also a factor.  GMG believes the new aftermarket part is better for both types of gensets, especially MEP002A.
