That is around a 50amp starting load at 240v. What else is running when you attempt to start AC. Note that this is near the max for an 802A. Nothing is wrong, the load is too big.

Inova makes a remote start/auto start kit that can work with most ATS systems. Please consult their website.

Starting amps too high. Nothing wrong with unit. The actual starting amps to start your AC is quite high.

Use a 3rd party, external phase converter. Keep the unit stock.

There is a space at the top of the main lugs in the back (about an inch wide). This is the #1 entry point for mice! This must be closed to ensure mice do not take up residence in the distribution box. This is the #1 MOST COMMON source of electrical problems in that box.

Not that we are aware of.

Very broad question. This is a constant speed application and is very different from any kind of vehicle diesel application. These are great units. Diesel fuel and variants are acceptable. But stick to diesel. Do not use Kerosene ever.

Could be many things… Make sure your entire fuel system is clean (filters, lines, fuel tank). It needs more fuel under load, so if it calls for it and can’t get it, it will bog down.

Poor compression or air restriction are possibilities too.

Obviously, I have no idea what your load is on the unit. I am assuming it’s reasonable and within spec.

Sorry, do not know about this. I have not heard of a fiat engine in any military units.

Seems more like voltage regulator, not a simple adjustment/rheostat issue.

Can you confirm the part numbers you need? You can use our free manuals here. Also, please tell me if you would consider used parts at a discount.

There are A and B variants of this generator and simply want to be sure we are getting you the correct parts.

Are you saying your batteries are NOT being charged, but the battery volt meter is reading “green?” Did you confirm that meter is working properly with an independent tool? The unit always uses the battery for power, but they should be charging when the generator is in use. Perhaps you need a new meter and/or voltage regulator. But if the battery voltage meter is working, then check connection to the batteries from the voltage regulator.

How large is the AC? It seems you don’t believe you are overloading it, but you might be.

Sorry, but this is too general of a comment. Need to check master breaker, make sure that the read-out setting corresponds to the desired voltage/phase output you have set. Please download free manuals from out website.

Before attempting to start any of the auction-purchased units, the entire fuel system must be cleaned thoroughly. All lines blown out, all filters changed. Could be many things going wrong. Check to make sure fuel is getting to each injector. Starter probably hot from over-cranking.

No, these are diesel generators. We do not have recommendations on non-diesel units.

Please look up part number in our Free manuals. We need to be sure of what we are hunting for. We receive dozens of inquiries per day and do not have the time to look up exact part numbers. Some A and B series can use slightly different parts/versions and only a good part number will ensure we are quoting you the correct part. Thanks! GMG

You should use a known good multimeter and not depend on the on-board meters (just to rule out a bad meter).
